Raptors are among the most fascinating birds to photograph, and my time at national wildlife refuges has led me to experience many different species in the wild. They are all fierce hunters with specialized tools such as large talons, sharp beaks, and strong wings that make them some of the most efficient hunters in nature. Despite this deadly prowess, they can also be gentle, attentive parents.
